That bit in bold is why he got the stop/go. The Rule states that if you cause an avoidable crash you will get a penalty, this rule has been forced consistently throughout the season so far. The rule may be a bit unfair, but what it does do is remove the element of judgement which would be needed otherwise.
It's a trade off, do you want a consistent rule or one that seems to change depending upon point of view. Remember one of the things aimed at FIA is the lack of constancy, a bit of damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

I'm thinking the same, the last time someone tried winding up Klitshko was Chris Byrd, and they said that Klishko put on his best performance of his boxing career. Haye's mouth may be gtting him into some bother later on.

It only happened a couple mins ago and many may have switched off by now.
FTR - seemed a strange one. Jenson seemed to have the space to turn in but just went into Alonso. An avoidable accident and I imagine will be punished, much like Di Resta. Under the wording of the rule both where avoidable accidents.

Button was looking in the mirrors, but by the time Lewis had pulled out it looked as if Button was no longer looking in the mirrors.
We are talking about fractions of a second here though, a bit longer and Button may have seen it and changed his direction. He didn't and continued on his orginal course. However Lewis should also have seen that the gap was constantly closing and he needed to have backed out.
It is all to easy to sit here and disect it by looking at a number of different tv angles and slowing it down. The drivers only have 1 chance at races speed while trying to do a number of different things as well. As I said 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, and sometimes shit happens.
The gap was closing all the time, by the time Lewis got close to being fully alongside (he made contact with Buttons left reat mind), Button would be on the left hand side of the track and no more gap.
I suppose it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other when it comes to it, but I predict that this will run for 20 pages more than the Monaco thread did
